Uncertain

I can’t see ahead for my past mistakes

I can’t make progress with no steps to take

I seem to be stuck in a vast unknown

Unsure of where I’ve been and unsure of where I’m goin

I want to fast-forward to the end of my life

Just to make sure it all turns out right

Then I want to rewind and start over again

Knowing all I know now that I didn’t know then

But life’s not a show I can see in one day

Life is uncertain, and it’s better that way
