Don't Grow Weary

You say not to worry and do not be afraid
But all I see is misery and messes I have made
You say to have courage and stay within your plan
But when I feel my pain is real, and I don’t understand
That’s when you say, you’ll lead the way, and I can hold your hand

Just don’t grow weary in well-doing don’t give up and do not faint
For things will change eventually if you keep marching straight
Don’t be dismayed or lose your way or hang your head and cry
Just look to me, and you will see everything will be all right

You say to remember good things you have done
But when I try, I’m blank inside, and I can’t think of one
You say to refocus on what I know is true
But I can’t get my heart and head to agree on what to do
That’s when you say, you’ll lead the way, and I can follow you

Just don’t grow weary in well-doing don’t give up and do not faint
For things will change eventually if you keep marching straight
Don’t be dismayed or lose your way or hang your head and cry
Just look to me, and you will see everything will be all right

All I will ever need to hear is written in your word
For you say not to run in fear but to stand on what I’ve heard

And don’t grow weary in well-doing don’t give up and do not faint
For things will change eventually if you keep marching straight
Don’t be dismayed or lose your way or hang your head and cry

Just look to me, and you will see everything will be all right
